Olivia Aguiar (she/her) is a lab manager at the ScholCommLab and a doctoral candidate at Simon Fraser University’s Injury Prevention and Mobility Lab (IPML). Her research uses quantitative and qualitative approaches to understand how and why head acceleration events occur in ice hockey. She also holds a certificate in Biomedical Visualization and Communication (BMVC) from the University of British Columbia.
Olivia’s journey through academia shaped her interest in scholarly and science communications. She wants to understand who engages with health information and how it is consumed and shared.
