Noha Atef served as a postdoctoral media researcher at the ScholCommLab (2021-2022), where she spearheaded the Doctors Who Vlog project. She holds extensive journalism experience in print, broadcast, and online media. Her research interests encompass social media, the political economy of communication, and media studies.

Noha obtained her PhD in Media from Birmingham City University in 2017, where she also worked for the Birmingham Centre for Media and Cultural Research (BCMCR). That same year, she published her book “Media of The People” in Arabic. Since then, Noha has published a collection of peer-reviewed manuscripts in English and Arabic, along with numerous articles in Arabic-language media. She has also taught theoretical and practical media modules at various universities in Egypt.
