Fatou Bah (she/her) is completing her master’s thesis in Information Systems (MIS) at the University of Ottawa under the supervision of Dr. Stefanie Haustein. Her thesis focuses on the cognitive accessibility of open-access repositories, and its impact on information search behaviour.
Fatou is an advocate for intersectional approaches to equity, diversity, and inclusion in science. She is the Associate Director of Accessibility for Open Collaboration for Cognitive Accessibility, where she leads projects aimed at making the environment accessible to people of all cognitive abilities and fosters inclusive research methods. Fatou also sits on the board of the Association pour l’intégration sociale d’Ottawa (AISO), a community organisation offering French language services to people with intellectual disabilities in Ottawa.
